Broken connection! What is it?

Hi everyone,

Looking for guidance here.
Was removing front bumper to install headlights HID, fogs and some other mods and decided to clean the engine bay as well.
When I looked under the engine cover I noticed a connection piece was broken!

Have a look..what the heck is it?
googling it now, thought I'd ask the forum in case someone has seen it. Thanks

Re: Broken connection! What is it?

What are you driving? Year, model, engine, etc.

Can you trace it back the other way and tell or post a picture of where it goes? Also one backed away from it for some perspective?

Is it a rubber hose? Steel pipe?

2014 WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V6

The hose is plastic and hard. It's on the left side of the intake manifold when you pop off the engine cover. I'll take more pics tomorrow. Thanks for the reply.
