Re: Build Date 04/2015
-Sounds like something is defective with your turn signal stalk. Also, don't forget the WK2 has the one touch lane change feature. Just tap the turn signal stalk once and it will flash three times.
-Haven't noticed wind noise on my 14 Summit. I will say my wife's 14 Toyota Highlander has excessive wind noise.
-Also have not noticed window switch buttons more difficult to press. IMO they work easily and require no extra force than any other recent car we have owned. Those being 2007 Acura TL, 2014 Toyota Highlander, 2015 Honda Odyssey...
-Never hit the gas cap switch, and come to think of it my knee gets nowhere near that switch. I'm 6ft tall, but I suppose everyone is different and people get in and out of their cars differently. Do you have the seat super close to the wheel or something? There is an easy exit feature that moves the steering wheel up and in and driver seat all the way back. Not a good feature if you regularly have someone sit behind you in the back seat though.
-I have also noticed the dash board stitching in the reflections when the sun is at the right angle. I'm used to it now and it doesn't bother me. Each car has its own reflections from the dash that you just get used to.
As far as getting lucky, remember there are a LOT of WK2's on the street and overall issues are pretty rare. You will always read about issues online or in forums because people specifically sign up to vent or try to diagnose an issue on their own.
I have had two WK2's so far and both flawless!! First was a 2012 V6 Overland, and now currently own a 2014 Summit V8 with a 04/2014 build date. It's a late built 2014 that I just bought a couple months ago. Early built '14 was one that I definitely wanted to avoid though. 2015's should be solid vehicles. Glad you really like your Jeep.
