BURNT 2011 Grand Cherokee

I posted on here a few weeks ago about a 2011 GC I saw that was on fire on the side of the highway. Of course everyone called me a liar. Anyways, I was at my local Jeep dealership looking at the 2011 GC and down near the body shop I saw a blackberry pearl limited that looked just like the one I saw on fire. Out of curiosity I drove over to look at it and it was the one I saw that caught fire. The vehicle was NOT involved in a crash. It also had a Chrysler "buy back" sticker or whatever you want to call it thats was on the windshield. Below are some pictures. See I dont lie! lol

I remember when you first mentioned the burning 2011 you saw. Thanks for the follow up and the pictures. I wonder what caused the fire?

Re: BURNT 2011 Grand Cherokee

I am tempted to go find out somehow. It was actually the dealers demo car too.

Re: BURNT 2011 Grand Cherokee

Wow... that sucks! I wonder if they had an aftermarket sound system installed. <--- I have heard those causing vehicles to burn to the ground do to poor installation.

If so, maybe a faulty battery?

Re: BURNT 2011 Grand Cherokee

Looks like the fire was more intense on the upper area ... on the passenger side ... if it was a demo ... maybe a competing dealer took it for a ride ... hard to say how a fire can spread in that area ...
