I recently purchased a 2014 Grand Jeep Cherokee Overland V6, while driving in the economy mode there is a buzzing noise when the RPM is between 1000 and 1500. Contacted the dealer and they indicated its normal. Does anyone have any solution as it's driving me crazy.
Welcome to JeepGarage!! There is a bracket behind the steering wheel that is most likely causing this and there is a Star Case for it. Do a search for the bracket and there is a walk through on how to remove it.
I took the vehicle to the dealer and they removed the bracket however the vibrating / humming noise still exist. The dealer want we to leave the vehicle for a couple of days to work with Chrysler to resolve.
Does the buzz caused by the bracket sound like a metallic rattle? In mine it sounds like loose heat shield but under the dash. It only happens at certain vibrations, like when I drive down brick streets and am decelerating. Does this sound similar to what others are hearing? Thanks in advance.
