The other day my wife started the truck. The abs light and the brake light stayed on and the park sensor off light went on (to the left of the eco button). Those lights went back to normal after the next restart and the check engine light stayed on for a few more starts.
I had the auto parts store read the code. It was U1417, implausible left wheel distance signal received.
The truck has never been off road. It is a 2014 GC limited V-6.
Anything to worry about or wait to see if my truck is part of the recall?
If the check engine light went out after a few starts, it is no longer sensing any problems. I imagine you already read that the recall is a software flash. My guess is your car computer burped, thinking it was a PC. Keep an eye on it, but expect the recall letter in the mail next month.
That signal is received from the ABS module and CJF has been replacing a lot of those lately. If it goes away after three restarts I wouldn't be concentered. OTOH if your dash light up like a Christmas tree... Wouldn't hurt to check for a loose ground wire under the TIPM.
Suspect their bus arbitration program may have been lacking when two modules transmitted at the same time. Is always an issue with a system without a master and the more modules/traffic you have the worse it gets.
Perhaps CJF needs to hire some Aerospace embedded systems programmers.
