Headed to open up the business I manage this morning. On my way the check engine light randomly pops on. The Jeep is not running strangely or shifting differently. Looked up a few different known issues. I find it odd that my factory bumper to bumper warranty ran out last month. Thank god I purchased a extended factory warranty. I am currently sitting at 25500 miles. Anyone have any ideas? I will update as I learn anything. Hopefully if it is something that takes a while to repair, they will give me a rental car.

Update:
First available appointment is Next Wednesday. They told me as long as it doesn't start flashing I can drive it. A family member has the scanner to hook up. I will be doing that on Friday.

I have the same problem, I also have about 25000 miles, my engine light turns on and off, so I got it checked and it's code p06DD. Something with the oil pump, have to schedule an appointment with jeep to see what's going on, I hope they give a loaner car, but I highly doubt it. And my warranty expired a few days ago, just my luck.

P06DD-DUAL STAGE OIL PUMP STUCK LOW

If I were getting that I would not drive very far or hard. The V6 has a two stage oil pump to try to eke a few more 10ths of a MPG. Low is for cruising, no hard acceleration, and engine speed under 3500 rpm and does not activate below 1000 rpm which explains the on/off condition but is definately not good.

With a '12 you should be able to monitor the oil pressure in the DIC.

Yea I agree this is not good, I've also had some problems where the car doesn't want to accelerate almost causing an accident on the freeway, wasn't to sure why that was happening, but after what u said it makes sense now. Thanks for the info. I have an appointment for next Monday. And just spoke to mopar and oil pump is covered under the manufacture warranty thank god... Hope this problem could be fixed, we'll see

I have only noticed one weird thing with mine. It does not display the ECO symbol anymore. It is turned on but doesn't display anything. I need to take it to get hooked up to a computer reader. My appointment is at 10:30 on Wednesday. They told me to drive it as long the light isn't flashing. So heres hoping it doesn't cause any more problems.

Another Update,

Took my Jeep to my uncles today and he hooked up his tester. It came up as an Emissions issue. We got under the hood and wiggled a few vacuum lines. On my way home I realized the light was off. I asked if he had reset it and he said no he hadn't. Hopefully just a hose was loose or something! Thanks everyone for the help!!!!!

Did he check your air filter?

Sometimes a dirty air filter can lead to an emissions error because it will trigger a problem in the Mass Airflow Sensor. The MAS will try to compensate and that throws off the fuel/air mix, which can generate an emissions error from the imbalance.

I do not remember the code completely. Im pretty sure it was 4P something. But No i haven't checked the air filter. I hadn't thought of that. I will take a look at it tomorrow just to make sure. We wiggled a few lines and Im pretty sure one of them must have been a little loose. Thank everyone for the input!
