Check engine light = software update
I have a December 2010 build 2011 Overland with about 12k miles. Last week while making a fast turn the engine cut out and check engine light came on. I could tell the tranny went into limp mode, no downshift or mds, so took it in. The code was the oil pressure sensor, which there was an update for. He said there were lots of updates and I got them all. I'd already been in for the more aggressive shifting tsb, but was told nothing existed for that. But this service guy knew what was up.
After leaving, I can tell that sport mode is actually sporty. Feels like more power unleashed. I still think my 04 H.O. Overland was quicker off the line without the drive by wire, but this is nice improvement. He suggested I get a chip or program to adjust the throttle more agressively. Anyone done that? Either way I suggest the tsb.
