Your insurance company. They would pay for it and then if possible recover from Chrysler.

Words of Wisdom ..lol What the Dealer dont want you to know!

I agree with you guys, you don’t want anyone to tamper with the headliner. mine is black, as long as you do a very good inspection before and after you should be ok. make you check everything when you drop it off and look at what the service advisor writes down as far as damage, and then again when you pick up.
In the past I have had damage to vehicles that was caused by dealer (Mercedes) by as long as you tell them at the exact time of pick up you’re ok. once you drive away you’re on your own.

Also guys, word of advice. any work that you get done on any vehicle make sure the R.O. (Repair order) has documented description that matches your problem you are complaining about. And anytime you have to return for the same problem you have to make sure it’s a NEW R.O. #, NOT A REOPENED TICKET!!
This is how dealers cover their own asses from lemon laws and lawsuits.

Not trying to be an alarmest but to those like me who have had this recall done, looks like another recall coming...hmmm

Those that avoided it because you were worried that the fix was worse than problem....well, you own the day!

Re: Chrysler Recall P36 / NHTSA 14V-391 (Visor Wiring)

I am having it done this weekend. According to the article the issues stems from the assembly line, so who is to know if a repair was warranted there or not? Willing to take that chance?

Pretty sure they meant that caused the prob in the first place thus the first recall.... This says the fix either didnt fix it or that the fix had its own problem, potentially....that's how I read it.

Re: Chrysler Recall P36 / NHTSA 14V-391 (Visor Wiring)

An article on autoblog says they may have to implement a fuse instead of rerouting the wires. I'm going to wait since they will likely have to repair vehicles again since their fix isn't working

Re: Chrysler Recall P36 / NHTSA 14V-391 (Visor Wiring)

I should have checked here first!!! Now my headliner is messed up. Not dirty, but on the drivers and passenger side next to your head, there is now a gap where the rubber doesn't cover the edge of the liner anymore. I had no idea that the recall was that invasive. Beware, this stinks! Not sure what to do now.

Re: Chrysler Recall P36 / NHTSA 14V-391 (Visor Wiring)

The rubber seal covers only 1-2 mm of the headliner in most places. It is even with the headliner in others. Not good! Taking a look at the documentation, the installed spacers look like the take up interior space of the headliner? REGRET!!!!!

I also noticed that the grab handles are loose. Anybody care to check if your grab handles are loose? I need to go back to the dealer, I guess. Man, I'm beginning to lose faith. Had the cylinder head replaced last year, now it's recall after recall with inferior work. There's nothing that ruins a vehicle quicker than sub-standard repair work.

Sorry to hear, my handles r snug. I expected some hack work on this recall but to my surprise they did am apparent clean go of it. However, other than the service invoice I have no "evidence" they did anything other than the knowledge that dealers r on guard for actually performing a fire hazard safety recall properly for obvious liability reasons. But then again, there is a recall on this recall for exactly that...hmmmm
