Clicking after engine shutoff

I'm hearing a clicking sound in the engine bay after shutting off the engine on my 2014 Overland. Is this something to be concerned about or is it simply the QL releasing air?

Thanks!

Mine does that as well, and I thought it was the DEF system, due to the diesel.

Hmmm, well, mine's a HEMI. Do you have QL as well?

Yes I do. I also noticed about 5 clicks immediately after the engine starting. Not sure if yours does that too. I thought it was DEF system. there are also slow clicks that I can hear at slow speeds about every 5-10 seconds. With the number of sensors and controls on these cars, it didn't seem out of the ordinary. Also, the dealer never seemed concerned.

I haven't noticed any clicks after starting or at slow speeds, but I'll listen for them. I'm not terribly concerned, but just wanted to make sure it's normal.

Re: Clicking after engine shutoff

The QL is designed to level the vehicle when it is turned off. It isn't necessarily right after shutting it off. The sound it produces sounds like a compressor, not clicking. If an engine is hot you may here clicking as parts cool and contract.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking but I wanted to check and make sure it's not unusual.
