Comfort exit controls stopped working

I use the comfort exit that scoots the seat back and adjusts the steering wheel automatically. The other day I got in and noticed it didn't adjust. Hasn't worked since. I've checked and unchecked the option in settings but that didn't help. Power seats and steering wheel still work manually and with the memory button. Anything else I can check to see why it's no longer doing the adjustment automatically? I'm not sure if something is wrong or if it's preventing it intentionally. I notice my the GC is smarter than me sometimes.

Try resaving memory position 1 and 2 and associate them with the appropriate key fob. I saw in another thread this solved the issue for someone else.

Thx for the suggestion. I tried that, swapped keys etc. Nothing. I guess it's just broke. Maybe make an appt with the dealer some day to get it looked at.

jeepless is on a distinguished road
Try moving the seat all the way forward and back. Something like that resets it. mine did the same. I think that's all I did to fix it. It's been mentioned on this site before

I sort of tried that during my initial troubleshooting. But I was sitting in the jeep and apparently didn't take it all the way forward since it started crushing my knees. I tried it again standing outside the jeep and went full lock front to rear, presto! Everything is good again! I think I may have had some cargo in the rear floor boards that it sensed and it deactivated as a safety mechanism? Who knows but glad it works again. One of those features I never wanted until I started using it.

Thanks for the help!

Re: Comfort exit controls stopped working

Hi there:
I happen to had the same problem.
Did you updated your radio with the latest software? Recently and after that did it stop working.
If yes:
1. Re-download the software to a new USB drive and update your radio again
2. Set your memory for the seat at the door buttons same for both.
uncheck the confort exit.
Once set get out of your car and close the car with the remote.
Now get in the car and wait until all systems are up and go to the confort exit and check it on.
turn off the engine and see if the seats rolls back. If hess hopefully is fixed.

If not: disconnect the battery negative terminal for a few minutes and reconnect.
Uncheck the comfort exit feature.
Then re-update the radio with the latest software available and set the memory buttons both with the same.
Also check on the comfort exit feature and see if when you shut the engine it moves the seat and steering.
If nothing happen then go to the service center.
Good Luck.
