Mine sounds as if my glass above the passenger seats rattles. I gave some light pounds on my roof around glass and can hear it vibrate.

My service guy told me he might need to take down the whole headliner to be able to access to the rattling spot. But I probably won't do it now. Because I'm affraid I may hear another rattle/noise from somewhere in the ceiling and panorama roof area after the service. Bottom line; Sadly, I don't have big confidence on Jeep's build quality at this point.

Get it done so I can bring mine in with a solution.. lol

What did they think is rattling? Or no clue.. just need to look where the headliner covers?

Re: CommandView Sunroof Noisy?

I've seen a couple of fixes for the rattling listed in other threads--some people reported that there were unfastened plastic fasteners around the sunroof and, once those fasteners were secured, their noise went away. At least one person noted that his dealer tightened up the cables that operate the roof and placed additional foam around those cables.

People who have had this issue seem to have been able to get it squared away.

Re: CommandView Sunroof Noisy?

FWIW, with normal sized SUV sunroofs and a roof rack, it is noticeably more quiet with the sunshade closed.

This has been true for us with the WK2, Acura MDS, VW Touareg, and even Audi sedans.

True enough, but in my case there was a definite wind roar, even at speeds below 40 mph. An adjustment of the glass made a huge difference. The first time my wife went for a ride with me, she remarked on how noisy it was; as it turned out, there was an explanation . . . and a solution.

Re: CommandView Sunroof Noisy?

My "rattle" (not wind noise) is still there in the panoroof above the rear passengers head area. Less noticeable when the sunshades closed, and even less noticeable when the sunroof is open "half-way". Going on 11 months of ownership, and aside from this one nagging problem, absolutely LOVE the vehicle. Definitely a lot of "bang for the buck". Unfortunately, I'm one of those who's not about to let some service tech rip my headliner apart, and create more problems than I now have with this rattle. I mean for cryin' out loud, I brought the vehicle in for a simple Oil Change last week, and the "tech" (and I use the term loosly), didn't even have the courtesy to wipe off the oil drain plug and filter after he was done! I can only imagine what my light and dark frost beige interior and headliner would look like after they were through "trying" to find a small rattle in my sunroof!
