condensation drain from A/C

All my vehicles before the Overland 2012 Jeep drained condensation from the a/c on the right rear engine passager side. The Jeep is draining in the center of the chassis around the transfer case. I was wondering if this is the norm or do I have a blockage?

Where is your wk2 draining?

Re: condensation drain from A/C

I've noticed mine coming from near the firewall on the driver's side. Pretty much right under where the gas/brake pedals are.

Re: condensation drain from A/C

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought it was strange why it was draining around moving parts which will promote rust.
Curious to know what others have experienced.

Re: condensation drain from A/C

Jeep designed it to drain just to the left of the transmission. I guess its the easiest location to drain from the evaporator.

Re: condensation drain from A/C

It is behind the carpet on the driver side. Directly under the shifter, left side of the transmission.

Don't have a picture on hand but it is really easy to access if you want. Just pop of the panel and you can see it.

If you GC drops water in the middle, that is right. It gets onto the trams skid plate though.

Re: condensation drain from A/C

Thanks for the replies and now see this is normal. On humid days there is a lot of condensation and driving down the road will give the appearance that it is draining from many different locations. Last night I let it idle in the driveway and it was draining exactly where it suppose to.

Great site and saved me a trip to the dealer. .

That's about where I see it...and there's usually a lot of water. Wonder how much there would be if I lived in a more humid part of the country.

Re: condensation drain from A/C

Mine drips on the passenger side just behind the front right tire. I do have the skid plates. Maybe thats why mine drips on the other side.
