Re: Continued Problems
5th trip to the dealer for the seat squeak - it's gotten even worse. Also went in for my first oil change (got the free oil change coupon in the mail).
I took the day off from work so I could be there to make sure they heard the noise.
I found out some new things about the squeak. It occasionally happens right off the bat when you start driving, but if it doesn't, you have to drive for 10-15 minutes to get it ramped up. Once it starts, if you change the seat significantly in any direction, it will stop, but in 10-15minutes, it will start up again.
Once it starts going, you can put the car in park, shut it off, and shift your weight back and forth to get it going and hear it very clearly.
Took a tech for 10minute drive and we got it going...he pulls it into the garage and comes over 20min later and says he can't get it to happen but wants a senior tech to look at it as well. We get it going after another 10min drive and bring the car back to the lot, turn it off, and I get the squeak going worse than it's ever been before. I'm really happy I stayed there to really show them what was going on.
They looked at it for another 30min and finally decided that I'm getting a new seat cushion piece and some metal frame/bracket that goes under it and hooks to the rails.
Hopefully when they call me back when the parts gets in, everything is fixed!
