Crank seal....?????

Ok guys so I took my 5.7 wk2 for servicing today.. all is well till I get a call saying my truck has a oil leak...WTF Anyways got to the dealer an look at it oil between the the engine and tranny not alot but still..... tech says looks like the crank seal.....


Has anybody have this issue with there WK2 5.7 HEMI

That's odd for such low mileage. That being said, the crank seal went on my '06 Charger with less than 3000 miles on it. It's a labor intensive job since the transmission needs to come out.

Same with a '76 MonteCarlo w/400 CID at less than 1,000 miles. It was fixed and never had a problem again. It's just one of those things, but no big deal.
