They have very little to no inspection on the GC's. They probably check one in a hundred for some items. Probably the same all across Chrysler vehicles. Really sad in this day and age.

Sergio Marchionne gets his check for $365,000 every week, so he certainly doesn't care.

Re: Crooked steering wheel 2015 Summit

I don't know what Jeep does or doesn't do, but years ago I visited a GM assemble plant in CA. And every car as it came off the assembly line was tested, inspected and checked for many things... They put everyone on a dyno, and ran it through the gears, checked all the lighting, wipers, brakes, interrior, and exterior ... Took less than 5 mins per car..... If Jeep doesn't do this kind of thing perhaps they should.... My 2009 Ram was almost trouble free, but I'm just about to invoke the Lemon Law on my SRT

Re: Crooked steering wheel 2015 Summit

The huge number of vehicles coming from the factory tells me that there must be something wrong besides quality control. After all, the best QC is to avoid those issues right on the spot where they occur - and I think that's exactly where the problem is. In other words - they must have a technical problem at the assembly-line...

Re: Crooked steering wheel 2015 Summit

Add me to the list...dropped off my Limited 2015 today for the steering wheel issue. Dealership knew exactly what I meant when I was describing it, so it sounds like they have seen the issue before.

QC is poor at best, at least for my new 2015 Limited. Going on 3rd front windshield with wavy/dual image problem and rough shifting on the transmission as well.

that's because it was the nummi plant which was partnered with Toyota.

Re: Crooked steering wheel 2015 Summit

I thought I'd seen this thread here during my reading. Low and behold I was driving my '15 today and noticed it is ever so lightly off and to the right. I've just crossed 1k miles. Looks like I'll be making a trip to the dealer.
