Crooked steering wheel 2015 Summit

We have a new Summit and in all cases when driving straight on a level road the steering wheel is turned slightly right. Is this an easy dealer fix ? It's not awful but drives me nuts (OCD!) I just don't want a big repair with the dealer

Easy fix, should be covered under your 12/12 wearables/adjustments warranty.

Re: Crooked steering wheel 2015 Summit

Definitely take it in. Mine was off too by a few degrees and it turned out my alignment was way off from the factory. Better to find out now vs when tires wear and they try and blame you

Mine was off to the right also. Dealer tried to correct it twice. Never could get it right. I then went to a tire store that had the latest Hunter alignment rack and they got it right on the first try. All it needed was a toe adjustment. Even though my dealer had a Hunter rack, they obviously didn't know what they were doing. The cost of the alignment was reimbursed by my dealer.

I have the same problem. I would have to adjust the steering to the right. If not it will pull to the left. My dealer try to tell me that it was fine.

Crazy the cooked to the right steering wheel issue is still happening so much. My 2014 early build march 2013 had the issue and i remember several complaints on it almost 2 years ago. People still getting the same problem lol maybe the will get that worked out on the new platform in a few years crazy

Re: Crooked steering wheel 2015 Summit

Really interesting - today was actually the first time I noticed that when driving straight, my steering-wheel is also turned a bit too far to the right. The vehicle is not pulling to a side but this is certainly something that bothers me since I'm aware of it now!

First, I thought I was hallucinating but it didn't take too long before I remembered this thread...

Same issue here. I had my dealer do an alignment. Although they knicked up the wheels with their equipment that hangs on the wheels. My Mazda had the same issue. I wonder if they try to compensate for the crown in the road when they align at the factory.

Check your tire pressure though. A couple pound difference between left and right side can cause it too.
