Curbed my rim :

Short of buying a new rim, do I have any options?

Can try to paint it? I don't even know what color that is.

I'm so pissed at myself.

That can easily be fixed. Don't beat yourself up over it. If you don't have the know how, ask your dealership who they use for rim repair.

Re: Curbed my rim :

Might be tough to paint. Hyper silver is a multi step paint process almost like a candy paint job.

Re: Curbed my rim :

On my previous 2012 Overland, I had a small paint chip that annoyed me so I had a place come over and repair it. Even after 3 attempts, he never could get the finish correct. I finally gave up and ordered a new wheel, tire and TPMS.

If you do try a repair and aren't satisfied, I have the replacement Overland wheel/tire for sale in the classifieds. I put the repaired wheel/tire back on the 2012 at trade in time.

Re: Curbed my rim :

Thanks for the replies. I was really wanting you all to say that there is a touch up paint I can buy from the dealer ... But I guess that would have been too easy!!!

Bob, I saw your ad. Where are you located?

Re: Curbed my rim :

There is touch up paint you can buy online for the wheels. It's Satin Carbon color. You'll need clear coat touch up too.

Satin Carbon Pearl Clearcoat (Wheel) DD5-W Touch Up Paint for 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Thank you and thank you again! Just ordered the pens to try and do the repair myself.

Best case, this works. Worst, I buy a new rim!

Granite Crystal Metallic. May not have the Jeep, but I'll still drop in and keep up with the news.
