After 2 years of problem free driving, my '11 Overland has left me stranded for the 2nd time in 2 months. The 1st problem was a result of the factory incorrectly installing the transmission filter
, and now I have a dead battery. I had to get my Jeep towed for the 2nd time. Good news again was the prompt action by Roadside Assistance. The dealer has checked out the battery & alternator, & they both appear okay. They think the battery was drained by the lift gate, either caused by a computer issue or a faulty switch. Parts have been ordered and they should be here tomorrow.
I've had a number of vehicles over the last 50 years of driving, and only two have left me stranded. Both were Jeeps - a '95 GC and now my '11. Needless to say I have a very low opinion of Chrysler/Jeep quality right now.
If it wasn't for a great relationship I have with my dealer's service staff, I'm afraid I'd be looking to buy another brand.
