Re: Dead spot when I stomp on gas pedal?

Have always been an issue with my '12 Pentastar. Light goes green. press the pedal a bit and nothing happens. Press harder and too much happens. Have just learned to downshift manually before passing but very hard to modulate when less than max is needed.

Re: Dead spot when I stomp on gas pedal?

My 2013 5.7L Overland (6 speed automatic) had something similar. It had what I would consider a dead spot in the acceleration from a stop and at speed. Just a second or two lag.

Now the 2015 5.7L Overland (8 speed) jumps from a stop or at speed. Not sure if the 8 speed is that much better, or the 2013 had something going on with the throttle-by-wire. Maybe something on the gas pedal side? Would the gas pedal part be like a potentiometer?

Re: Dead spot when I stomp on gas pedal?

Sprint Booster power converter got rid of my lag and changed Auto mode to an enhanced Sport mode. No hesitation. Also improved Sport mode.

Will this work on a 75th Limited? The throttle lag in eco mode is unacceptable on this thing, and it only improves a bit in sport mode.
