Dealer performed Fuel Pump relay recall - Now it smells like gas inside the vehicle

We brought our 2013 GC Trailhawk in for the Fuel Pump Relay recall yesterday. I drove it home and thought I noticed a smell of gas inside the cabin. I sort of forgot about it and didn't say anything to my wife who just called and told me that there was a strong smell of gas inside the vehicle. I assumed that the recall would strictly involve the electrical system as opposed to the fuel system. Any thoughts on why the wonderful new car smell has now been replaced with a foul odor?

Re: Dealer performed Fuel Pump relay recall - Now it smells like gas inside the vehic

Maybe the service technician had some gas on his shoes or clothing & it ended up inside your Jeep. I would check the interior of your Jeep carefully. The relay repair shouldn't cause the problem you referenced.
