Dealership Service Question

Sorry if this is such a stupid question or has been covered in other posts:

Approx 6 weeks ago, I purchased my WK2 at a dealership 80 miles away. I am having an issue and need to take it in for a check on my now non-working uConnect bluetooth.

I have a local dealereship about 3 miles away. They were a Dodge dealership that absorbed the Chrysler/Jeep brand from another that was closed down in 2009 and seemed to care little about helping me order or find a WK2 that wasn't already in their system.

Can I take it to the local dealership for such an issue (or warranty issue)? Or do I need to go back to the originating dealership for this issue?

One caveat, in the past some dealerships required you to go to the selling dealer if they were within 50 miles of your residence. I THINK that got deemed illegal but I know Ford dealers were doing that here in Central FL 10 years ago. Since yours is 80 miles away it shouldn't be an issue.

Besides, the dealership gets reimbursed for warranty work, though at a lower rate but most welcome the business. You might want to get the first 1 or 2 scheduled services done there just to build a relationship. Service is separate from sales but there are dealers who offer free loaner cars, etc. to sales customers, you probably won't get that perk.

If any dealership denies to repair your Jeep (even warranty work), that's just bad business. The Service Department is the cash cow of the dealership and turning away customers because you didn't purchase it there is a really bad idea.

any dealer should service your jeep, the warranty you you have may entitle you to a loaner whether you purchased at that dealer or not...
