Re: Does your fuel door sit flush?

I've been at the dealer 2 times now to fix my fuel door. Still not flush. Ordering a new assembly again.

Re: Does your fuel door sit flush?

14 jgc 06/14 build fuel door not flush on left half. looking in driver's side mirror while I was traveling I can see it being proud about an 1/8" or so. otherwise you can't tell it isn't flush unless you really examine it. it does look weird though when your looking at it in the mirror, and you notice it sticking out. love the gc so far but I am really starting to question the qc in these jeeps. my hood is off as well a bit and even adjusting the rubber stops doesn't help it.

Re: Does your fuel door sit flush?

So the dealer replaced my fuel door assembly for the third time and it's still not center and still not sitting flush. They are telling me that it's normal now. So I said let's go look at a new Jeep right there on the lot and he refused. So now I'm heading to another dealer. Took them 2 time to get my alignment right. This is a brand new 2014 Grand Cherokee that's been in the Shop over 5 times now and it's still not right. Crazy !!!!!!!

Re: Does your fuel door sit flush?

Flush? Yes but not centred, there is a much wider gap on top than on the bottom.
Hate how the body panels are put together.
Front door when closed sticking out where it meets the rear door, dealer says it has to be like that because if it were the opposite all water and dirt would pile up in the rear door...
Unreal, all good vehicle have flush panels, doors and minimum gaps.
