Drive shaft noise?

Hello I had my 1 month old wk2 in for it's dealer check today and told them about an intermittent squeak or whistle noise that would occasionally last for 2-3 seconds seemingly after lifting off the accelerator. The service people had a drive and say that they will fit a new drive shaft under warranty. I was quite surprised that they had concluded that this would be a drive shaft issue! My question is does this sound plausible to you? Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Re: Drive shaft noise?

I have a simular problem. The whistle disappeared after 4000-5000 miles. The whistle noise returned after a tire rotation. The whistle is present after 15 minutes of warm-up.

Re: Drive shaft noise?

Hi. The dealer replaced the shaft going from the gearbox forwards towards the front of the car and the noise has gone - which I was pleased about.

Re: Drive shaft noise?

I have a 2014 Overland Hemi and noticed this today while decelerating. The slightest tap if the gas the whistle goes away. Sounds similar. Was the drive shaft the true cause? Saw a similar post for 2914 on the SRT thread.
