I have done the reset of cycling full forward to full back countless times over the last 6 months to no avail. I've measured the travel of the seat numerous times as well. I can move it full back, the move the seat like 3" forward or more. Save the setting. Yet the seat still won't move when the car is turned off.

The dealership has flashed it a couple times but that never seems to get any change.

Is there anything else I can do short of replacing the seat module.

After about six trips to the dealer I had the module replaced. Still had problem of easy exist seat stopping. About once a month I have to go through the process of moving seat up and back to reset the easy seat. I have decided it just something I have to live with. Somehow if you change the seat position while driving it confuses the seat module causing this problem.

Re: Driver memory lost, and now no Easy Eentry/Exit Seats

I have been able to replicate this issue. If, at anytime, you adjust the steering wheel, the easy exit will stop working. I played around with it yesterday and it happened every time I would move the steering wheel. My suggestion would be to set the seat and wheel to your desire, then save the setting. Test by turning off ignition.

Another thing I noticed was after I saved the preset, and while the engine was running, I fastened the seat belt and released it 3 or 4 times. I'm not sure if this had any effect, but each time I went through these steps, the easy exit seat would function.

This does reset everything. However, still doesn't fix my problem.

Thank you! Lost the function over the weekend and this recovered it for me.

Boy I wish I would have seen this post earlier. I tried everything including disconnecting the battery. Now after moving forward and back, all seems to be working.

Re: Driver memory lost, and now no Easy Eentry/Exit Seats

thanks! I will try it. I have my ez exit option turned off, should I turn it on, then turn it off before moving the seat to get the memory to function again?

That definitely shouldn't be how it works. Otherwise, you can't raise the wheel to assist in getting your legs out if you're larger or taller.

Not being able to adjust the wheel position would completely defeat one of the functions of it.

Now, if the wheel position was a power thing tied to the personalized setting, then I could understand it not working properly after something is manually changed. Even then, it should still go back to the default positions if the preset is not re-saved.

Re: Driver memory lost, and now no Easy Eentry/Exit Seats

My 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee was bought back by FCA for this problem. I took the car back to the dealer 8 times for the same failure. They replaced the seat module, the memory module, the seat frame, motors, the wiring harness, and finally gave up. seemed to lose both functions randomly every couple weeks.

I now have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (replacement for the buy back) and after only two weeks of having this one, it is now doing the same thing.

Seems that, based on what I'm reading here, it may be a software problem. seems if they reprogrammed the seat module to not lose memory if the driver decides to readjust the seat, it would permanently solve this issue.

I wonder if enough owners complain of the problem they may actually do something about it.

Re: Driver memory lost, and now no Easy Eentry/Exit Seats

1) Did you check your seat Entry/Exit options in the relevant screen on UCONNECT?
2) Normal programming is such that if the driver adjusts his seat but doesn't overwrite the (1) or (2) settings, the memory is not erased and the driver could recall those settings when he puts the car into park again.

Re: Driver memory lost, and now no Easy Eentry/Exit Seats

I've tried resetting the easy out function (turning on and off), resetting the seat for the memory function, and cycling the ignition with no luck. The dealer always finds the same body code, front seat motor not registered. they have to go in with Witech and register all the motors again. This happens every time the functions stop working.
