Short of it, I was in an accident 5 weeks ago, lady blew through a right lane must turn right and hit me, knocking the wheel off the front driver side of the car.
After 4 weeks got it back and felt off. So pulled out the tape measure.
Top of tire to fender was 1/4" lower, and the front sensor near the fog light in front was 1/2" lower on the driver side.
Any thoughts on what it could be, bringing it back in on Tuesday. First thought was spring/strut.
Yah though would expect that in the back. Headlight also seems lower against a wall. I'm not willing to accept anything but perfect on a 2 month old car where I wasn't at fault.
If you are not happy with the repair then contact your insurance company and tell them you want it right. They need to make it the way it was before the accident. If you have a Dealer close by I would go by there and take measurements for comparison to yours. Then you can let the insurance company know. Good luck and I hope you get it fixed.
Thanks, the body shop is owned by the dealer, just separate, it's Koons in Virginia, but that's a great idea, I'll have them check it out to see if that's normal and if it isn't, have them send it back to their body shop to fix it.
Guess I can also bring a tape measure and check out some other 17s to see if any have the problem.
That is exactly what I did when they screwed up my air suspension. Bring your own tape and talk with some manager.
Not sure if you have air suspension or not but if you do they have to do a calibration after major work. Unfortunately even dealership doesn't seem to know how to work on their cars.
