Driveshaft clicking only when very cold
I have a 2011 overland QD with 58k miles. When it gets cold out like under 20* my truck makes a speed dependent clicking noise that comes from under the center console and not from the tires, hubs or brakes.
I had my wife drive me around and I was hanging out the booth front and rear doors freezing my butt off trying to identify the source of the noise. I usually only hear it from 5-25 mph then it gets drowned out by road noise. The noise goes away and the truck is silent again once the temp climbs above 20*.
Since it comes and goes it isn't something stuck or rubbing. I'm not sure if U-joints or transfer case could be the problem. I don't think its a diff but who knows.
I did notice that when accelerating the problem goes away temporarily.
I have tried to capture the noise in a video but my phone picks up too much white noise.
