Re: DRL destroyed reflector

Why stop at DRL's? Let's mandate blue flashing lights and sirens! And bubble-wrap! If you don't bundle your children in bullet-proof bubble wrap before sending them off to school, you're less of a parent than I am!

As for the "damage" from these bulbs, has anyone tried to simply wipe it off with a bent q-tip? Could very well just be off-gassing, as suggested earlier instead of heat damage. Has anyone seen the finish blister or flake? That would seem like effects of heat damage.

Believe me, people don't see/hear them either. I regularly have to pull up next to someone and sometimes in front before they finally stop. People just don't pay attention while driving, and adding more "safety features" is just making drivers lazier.

The fact is, ColdCase, if you inadvertently pull out in front of someone and they hit you, you're at fault. You're the person I'd give a ticket and your insurance would be charged. You can't blame others for your inattention. If you can't see an oncoming vehicle maybe you shouldn't be behind the wheel.
