Re: Droning/vibration around 58 MPH w/ V6 in highest gear

Yes this is sad , i have it also, and posted it in the Pentastar vibration at 60 mph thread. It really damages the fun of driving the jeep at high speeds.

at least the audio sound was clear and high quality so I could turn it on loud while driving at 60mph, but theyve ruined this part as well!!!

My mechanic accelerated the car on a lift and the sounds were not heard at all. This means it got to be something related to stress of the motor due to friction, uphill and self weight.

Laredo 3.6 70 anni, 20" rims 14000 miles. 2011.

I have it on 3.6 18 inch rims quadralift...

Its a known issue with no positive fix yet. dealers have change axles and bearings and bears oh my! but no definitive answer as to what it actually is.

Its a fact that not all Jeep GC owners have that sound, its probably not a fawlty design, so I wonder what makes ours different then the rest ? Wonder what precentage of GC coming out of the factory with that noise?

I get a vibration accelerating at precisely 93kmh....which is 58MPH but mines a 3.0 CRD

You guys should include in your posts what 4 wheel drive system you have if you even have it. Keep in mind the transfer case on QT1 is different than the transfer case on QT2 / QD2

Same problem with my 3.6 no 4x4. It starts when I hit 60 mph. Sounds like its coming from the center of the dash.
