Re: Dropped at dealer today...

Quick update..... Car still at dealer, need more parts and then to "reprogram" the "sensors" and "relays". Its already 330 and no call for it to be picked up today so we'll see.....

I'll post all the "parts" needed to take care of situation when I get the car back....

Re: Dropped at dealer today...

"Main Sensor and Relays"? What the heck would the "main sensor" be on a vehicle that probably has over 100 different sensors? It sounds to me like they have no clue what is wrong and are just replacing stuff hoping something works.

Further, you don't program sensors or relays. You might adjust them to read properly, but all the programming is done elsewhere (the computer(s) that make the truck run).

Re: Dropped at dealer today...

If they are just throwing parts at the car, expected your Jeep to be theirs until Friday at the minimum.

I have a fair knowledge of cars, I understand that what they are saying is probably something to pacify me. I truly do not think that they know what the problem is so hopefully it is solved soon. I really don't hold hope in the fact that it will be solved anytime soon. I'll hope for the best, though there will be a time that my patience will run out and I'll need a better answer that "relays" and "sensors"......

Re: Dropped at dealer today...

Latest.......

They replaced what they replaced, now they replaced a "module".... dealer said when they started the car everything seemed ok until it went haywire again.
According to the dealer it is out of their hands and in the hands of Chrysler now.... meaning that they cant fix the problem.
Figuring it will be some what of a long haul from here I got a different loaner and will have to deal with Chrysler directly.... Stay tuned.....

Re: Dropped at dealer today...

Wow, looks like it was a cascading failure, where one part failed and it took a series of other parts with it. Certainly not easy to diagnose.
