Dual Climate Control Problem

Hi,
My car is a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2013 with Dual Climate Control.
Normally I set the same temperature on both sides, for example 67 and 67.
When I turn on the heating initially both sides blow hot air at the same temperature.
After several minutes the temperature drops considerably on the right side (passenger side), but the driver's side kept blowing hot air.
To maintain the passenger side blowing hot air I have to set the temperature as follows:
Driver side: 67 degrees
Passenger side: 71 degrees
In other words, the passenger side stops blowing hot air about 4 degrees before the driver's side.
The dealer says it found no problems, but the car still has the same problem.
Any idea, what is the problem?
Thanks,

Re: Dual Climate Control Problem

Heating issues are usally a few things:
1. Heater core bad: Then everything would be cold.
2. Thermostat bad: Everything cold

3. Blend Door operation:

That leaves the blend doors and the electronic module that controls them.

From what I understand there are three parts. The module that controls the motor/gear assembly that opens and closes the blend doors. If any one of these is bad, then the doors don't close all the way or not at all.

Most dealers can check to see if the blend doors are closing from under the dash. It's good to check regardless if you have a trouble code, and make sure they are closing/opening all the way.

FYI: What most dealers hate, is to fix the problem, and that is because they have to tear out the entire dash console.
