2012 Overland 5.7L. My HVAC started acting up this week. The driver side works well and the A/C is cold. The passenger side only blows warm. I can not sync the two. I checked the freon levels and that is fine. Is this possibly a door issue like earlier generations?
Appreciate any suggestions and where and what to look for.
I experienced the same issue and found it to be the blend doors in HVAC unit. It is a common fault and can be easily sorted.
You can buy blend doors of eBay, and there are a few users showing installation instructions on YouTube.
I have had this issue for over a year and with winter drawing in thought it was time to get it sorted.
It is really easy to sort out, and you can save your self a lot of money by doing it yourself.
I would put my money on the sacrificial gear between the door actuator itself and the blend door post. Have seen quite a few of these things grenade. Being it's the passenger side, the repair can be performed by removing the glove box assembly and not having to remove the entire dash.
Tore it appart yesterday and yes it is the plastic accuator gear. Picked one up this morning and will reassemble. Hopefully everything lines up (No identifying markers).
Thanks for the help.
