Electronic Stability Control light...fault

Hi there,
This morning I started the engine and the ESC (electronic stability control light) came on, first time ever, it just came up by itself, I tried turning the engine on and off and nothing, still comes on, I drove a few kilometres wondering if by miracle it would go off..and still on.
Any ideas ?...the manual says to take it to the dealer which obviously I will do, but before going and they telling me they have to check 1000 things, i thought I would ask here first.
I'm enclosing a pic so you can see, which light I'm talking about.
Rgds and thanks.

Have you been off road lately (deep snow, sand) and got one of your ABS sensors messed up?

Re: Electronic Stability Control light...fault

Hi there, actually last time offroading was in December, since then only paved roads and some road trips, maybe one of those sensors just decided to quit working normally ?...not sure, yesterday afternoon I left the jeep at the dealer and they scanned the vehicle and told me it wasnt a software issue, they have to look into it to find out if it was a wire, or sensor, or the dynamic module ?..not sure what that is, and of course the problem is that if a new module is needed they dont have it in stock, they have to special order it to the US, etc..
Hopefully today by the end of the day or tomorrow I should have good (or bad) news..fingers crossed !.
Rgds

Good luck. Let us know what the dealership's diagnostic is.

Re: Electronic Stability Control light...fault

Hi again,
The problem has been solved, according to the dealer it was the dynamic module that had to be changed due to an internal fault, part was $ 111.15 us dollars so not too bad, and hopefull everything is back to normal.
Since I had the GC at the shop I asked for the 60k service, they also did that so now I'm ready for my next trip...and fingers crossed for not more weird lights appearing in front of me !.
Rgds.
