I picked up a used 2014 Summit about a month ago. I have a slight knocking sound coming from underneath the car. I brought it to the dealer today and the first said they could not hear anything wrong and then they said they where looking into the noise. Well 7 hours later the said the noise was normal for the car which I find hard to believe but they replaced the water pump and thermostat because the said they found it making abnormal noise.
Please listen to the video and let me know what you think!
I'm sorry for your troubles. Two places to go for lies that will blow up when your the one holding the bag are government buildings and a jeep dealer. They both spend more money and time avoiding the truth by ignorant deception than simply using they're top of the line equipment to accomplish anything.
It could be nothing big but you'll need to find a willing service advisor to hear the difference between "normal" and not. Fat chance. I think you'll likely be waiting for a code or being stranded which is the OE automotive worlds equivalent of "diagnosing" a problem. Or you could go to a real technician or mechanic, if you can find one, and pay them for a more accurate diagnosis and go back to the guys with hundreds of hours of top of the line training that could find their ass without a code. It's pathetic because of the people not the tools or training, I've just stopped lying to avoid ridicule.
