EVIC tire pressures

EVIC is showing tire pressures of 41 for each tire. Measured with a good pressure gauge it shows 36, which is at it should be. Can these sensors be calibrated? GC is 4 months old.

Mine have always been exactly on with tire gauge. You may want to check with your dealer if they are all off by 5

I have a digital racing tire gauge that I paid close to $100 for. I know it is on the money. My 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited has always shown 4 lb. over since new. I just subtract the 4 lb in my head, not only that, my 4 tires show 4 different figures. My sales man has a Ram truck that always says low tire. It is almost a year old and been to a couple of different service departments and no one can fix it. The TPMS is voodoo and known not to be the most accurate. I will go by my digital tire gauge.

Nope, no adjustment...they are known to be inaccurate, but in a fairly consistent way. I have a true, calibrated Morosa racing gauge and all my TPMS readings are 2 lbs higher than actual. So I just keep EVIC numbers at 38 cold.

5lb off is not normal and since all 4 are 5lb off the first suspect is your "good" gauge. A truly accurate one is very hard to find. They are $70+ for truly good ones. Hit the dealer and have them set pressure to, say 40 if you got em nice and hot driving there, then right there on the spot (don't wait to get home) use your gauge to read the pressure. Assume theirs is accurate and yours is not. Use the "error" of your gauge as your offset guide. I bet your gauge will read 3lbs high.

It's the only way to establish a way to live with known inaccurate gauges and TPMS sensors.

My tire gauge is spot on, not an issue. GC is in for its first service visit Wed, will have them check the TPMS. Anyone know what brand TPMS they use?

Ok, but I'm very suspect that all 4 of your TPMS sensors are off 5lbs each...the wise move is to also verify your gauge, just sayin'.
