Express Windows

Hi,

This is my first post in this forum, sadly, causeI would have loved to have met you in happier times
Anyway, I've had my Laredo X for 2 weeks now, but I noticed that after a while of leaving the driver side window half open, the express up function starts acting up. As in, if I click it, the window goes all the way up then all the way back to the position it was in. I tried the reset methods I saw on the this forum but in vain. So I took to the dealer yesterday and they said the relearned it or something. An hour later it happened again, so I brought to the dealer and it's been sitting there since then (yesterday afternoon). I have no idea what they're doing to it!
Anyone had such a problem?!
Thanks!

Re: Express Windows

I had that in my Benz and Acura. Not sure if it's the same but:

1) pull switch up and hold it up manually until window closes.
2) once, closed, pull switch up again to reset it.

Thank you for replying... That's what I did; it would reset, then the next time I turn on the car, it happens again.

Re: Express Windows

Sounds like a bad spot in the memory chip.

I might be wrong. But I think you have to do the process up and down.
Hold it up for a few seconds when its up, then down and hold down a few secs.

Re: Express Windows

Well, they ended up replacing the module. So far it's not acting up, we'll wait and see...
Thank you for the suggestions.

Re: Express Windows

So, one week after replacing the module, the problem is back. I called the dealer and I will bring it in today, but I dunno what else they will do. Last time they said when everything else failed they had to change the module, so now what!
Any ideas?!

Have them change out the switch.
