Re: Extended Warranty?

I plan to keep the Overland I ordered for a long time like many of you and am interested in the Lifetime Max Care warranty. For those who ordered the Lifetime, other than the non-transferability, are there any "catches" in the fine print? I guess I find it hard to believe that in 20 years if a part goes out, they'll fix it or try to replace it. Thanks!

Here's the only thing I think could be considered a "catch".

If a SINGLE repair costs more than the retail value of the vehicle, then they will pay you the value of the Jeep and cancel the contract.

So if in 15 years, your jeep has a retail book value of, say, $3,500, and the engine needs to be replaced at a cost of $7,000, Chrysler will pay you $3,500 and cancel the service contract.

Re: Extended Warranty?

so if i go to the dealer and he tells me to basically stuff it and won't match the price from that website, how confident should i be to purchase it from the website and have it honored at the dealer i purchase the car from? I think that's my biggest question. The concept just seems a little shady to me since this is buying from a specific dealer in Wisconsin.

It's a Chrysler Corp warranty, so it will be good at any dealer in the US, I'm assuming you are in the US of course. The paperwork you get in the mail in 30 days will be no different than purchasing it from any other dealer.

I think you have 60 days to cancel on a Chrysler warranty, sooo dependingon how long ago that was...

You have 60 days to cancel and get a refund. I had a coworker who canceled the stealership policy and and bought one for $2,000 less online.

Re: Extended Warranty?

Is Extended Warranty from Chrysler taxable when purchased from the local dealer?
