You can buy an extended warranty or service contract for your pre owned WK2, I did.
The only problem is that you are limited in what options you can get when you are not the original owner. I purchased the Max Care service contract 7 year 100000 mile $150.00 deductible.
I wanted the plan I had with my 07 Commander 7 years 85.000 zero deductible. For me to get zero deductible was VERY expensive.
You can get a quote from www.chryslerwarrantys.com on line. The equation they use is the make, name and age of vehicle along with engine size and 4x4 systems etc.. I would imagine the older the vehicle the more money it costs for a contract. Get a quote and start calling other Chrysler warranty stores. Most are dealers and all will be happy to give you prices over the phone.
That is the price I could get from service contracts/chryslerwarrantys but my dealer actually matched it which is suspect! Thinking maybe I was looking up something with less existing warranty or new vs. used since I bought my Jeep new at dealer.
I bought mine from them. They offered thelowest price and my dealer couldn't touch it. Ask for Stacy if you call. You have to add $150 for 4 wheel drive to the prices listed.
Can someone check for me? I must be looking at something incorrectly on there. I even used a $180 coupon to try to get lowest price. Can I cancel one I bought from dealer since its not used and re-buy?
I paid 1750 for lifetime maxcare with $100 deductible through the selling dealer. I am told that dealer cost is $1700. FYI, I had to pay sales tax of about $100, so that decreased the value of the deal a bit.
