Wow that looks bad. A simple swap of the steering wheel should fix that.

After a month of waiting the dealer is swapping the steering wheel as warranty claim but its on backorder along with 11 more...I guess I'm not the only one having this problem.

I did have a vehicle one time (I can't remember which one...I think it was my 2005 WK Limited and it had light colored interior)) that the top of the steering wheel got burnt/melted through the windshield from the sun when I was stationed in Kansas. Now I put my sunshade up to cover the dash/steering wheel and I also (literally) cover the seats, steering wheel and the console with a blanket...It looks like I was storing the vehicle for months....people think I'm crazy because I do it every time I park the vehicle during daylight (yes, I'm that disciplined). I will tell you my 2014 Limited leather looks like its brand new...no sun fade or signs of wear.

As an update, I never got to talk to my dealer until recently (Somewhere around November) I've been trying get them replaced, however one dealership quoted me around $3500 for a replacement.

I'm still looking for alternatives but it looks like it's going to be a while. Really crossing my fingers here. Wish me luck!

Unhappy Re: Extreme peeling on nappa leather skin? 14' Overland

So finally after months of working around back and fourth, Jeep never figured out if the damages were manufacturing defects or wear and tear, however deemed the chairs a "wear and tear" item, gave me some free coupons and closed my case.

I'm not sure what to do past this? I found the chairs themselves and the item codes on two separate websites and the price for them alone came out to around $1500-$1600.

Anyone know of anything I could possibly do past this?

If I did just go ahead and buy them, are these covers easy to install by myself?
Or do I have to find a specific body shop in order to have these swapped out.

This actually really really sucks. Every dealer I went to just refused to mark the seats as a manufacturing damage (Or wear and tear?), and it was my fault I didn't report it sooner when it started happening.

What cleaners and so forth were used on those seats?

That's the thing, I never used any real cleaners or conditioners on them.
I only ever used a damp cloth to clean any dirt if there was any. I don't usually eat in my car either nor do any labor intensive dirty work, so my clothes couldn't carry any contaminants.
I usually just use my jeep to and from school.
