What is the deal with these Jeeps?
1 week, found real window seal twisted under the window, deep scratches on back of seal, bolt missing on the hood, and really bad bubbles in the tint, and the famous blue smoke. They fixed everything except the blue smoke. Chrysler is involved now. They escalated, so I guess we shall see. The QA/QS is just not there any more.

*UPDATE 5/11*

Got a call from the Service dept. (not from the Manager) at about 5:00PM last night, and the rep told me the following:

1) The new clearbra was installed, and after inspection it looks perfect...awesome.

2) Somehow they were able to overnight the replacement air bag module from the assembly line, it's now installed, and no MILs are coming up. In addition, the drivers plastic seat back was replaced (original one started to gap on top)...again awesome!

3) My Jeep has been fully dealer prepped & cleaned again, and they filled up the gas tank...by now I'm hyperventilating from all the good news, be still my beating heart!

So he ends with "Come get it this Saturday if you want"...the smile on my face grows even larger, but then I remember the conversation the Service Manager and I had earlier in the week about Chrysler not saying no to my request that NAV gets activated on my 8.4A in compensation for all my troubles, so I say to the rep "What about the NAV activation?" and the rep replies:

"The Service Manager never mentioned that to me"



But the rep he did say that possibly his Manager (who wasn't in yesterday) might not have known that my Jeep was repaired so quickly. So we left it as me not picking up my Jeep until Monday when he would have had the chance to talk to his boss about the NAV activation.

Do you think they're more likely to add NAV if you don't pick it up?

I wouldn't wait in case they really didn't fix the issues.

If you pick it up, they might claim it was "accepted as fixed." I would think its a good thing you're waiting. You deserve something for all this and it probably costs them next to nothing to flash the nav, which I would assume is what happens...

One can only hope...worth a try don't you think? Originally the Service Manager told me Thursday that the vehicle most likely wouldn't be ready until Monday or Tuesday of next week. So I'm hoping the extra time gives the Service Manager time to get the NAV activation code from Chrysler.

I fail to see how picking my Jeep up earlier changes anything when it comes to the "Service Air Bag System" repair. Either way, if it's not fixed it goes right back to them for a third time, then we start talking Lemon Law.

Picked up my 2014 GC Limited tonight...

No MILs, full tank of gas, Clearbra replaced, vehicle cleaned inside out, and best of all...I got NAV now!



Kudos to the Service Dept. of Acton Chrysler Jeep in Mass for setting things right!

I just hope that everyone who has experienced issues with their new 2014 Jeep gets it squared away quickley and is treated to the excellent service I was given.

Between the 2nd and 3rd period of the Bruins/Leafs game, I took the GC for a nice nighttime ride. Everything seems to be working great. In fact, the transmission also seems silky smooth all of a sudden. Wonder what they did? They said they will mail me the paperwork later this week...
