Almost seems like it worked in reverse for me. What do you think? Can the dealer undo or fix it?
Hmmm makes me think about not doing it since I only get occasional low speed clunk, rest is perfect so don't wanna mess with it.

So then why are Audi zf transmissions having same issues.

Audi implementation issue? I would need to see which transmission they are using (zf makes many).

BMW is also using the ZF HP70 Tranny. Not sure what Audi's issue is but maybe I will ask one of the Audi stores next week.

Maybe Audi is making there own version of the 845RE as well.

Just keep in mind with the Jeeps there are 2 8 speed transmissions, this thread is only referring the the one attached to the V6 which about 35% of people have had some concerns with.... less than 5 % have had any concerns with the other 8 speed.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Brought our JGC with 2500 miles on it in today to get this service done. 2 hours later the rep comes out to tell me that during the process they completely blew out the radio and need to replace it...whcih can't be done until Tuesday.

Pretty awesome $40k vehicle. Probably my first and last Jeep.

How can this be blamed on anyone other than the service dept you used? Even then it sounds like they are fixing it as soon as they can.

I feel for you but to swear off the Jeep brand because of this seems silly (and I'm not even a Jeep fanboy)

I guess you are right, but we aren't off to a good start in this relationship. I've leased 3 vehicles before this and only saw the dealership for oil changes during those 9 years.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Noob question... Is this something the dealership with notify you about or is it something you need to call them and ask for it to be done? I have 1800 on my 14 GC Limited and did the battery pull two nights ago and my shifting is much worse than it was before I did the battery pull.

You need to tell the dealer you're unhappy with the way the tranny shifts, and ask for the flash.

I took the GC 2014 mfr 6-13 into the dealer this morning and ask them to handle the TSB. Just got it back and so far it seems like it's improved. thanks for advising on the TSB.

Do you have the link to the article? If not, can you just post what it says?
