They performed TCM and PCM (TSB 18-034-13 and TSB 21-007-13)
Thanks for the Review Sno!

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I had mine done almost 3 weeks ago, it is better, I do leave it in ECO mode now but I agree that it is not perfect. It downshifts and over-revs sometimes when coming to a stop because it holds the lower gear too long and there are times when I ask for "more" when doing 35 or 40 that it either doesn't downshift enough for the acceleration or drops too many gears. If I anticipate that I am going to need some "quick" acceleration either at speed or when stopped, I just tap the shifter once to get sport mode activated and then I know that it won't stumble and we will rock and roll. Hopefully another software tweak in the near future? Dave

Against my better judgement I got the flash done yesterday while GC was in for oil change. Before flash mine was good 99% of time, only occasional clunk (once a week) at very low speed - coasting or light on gas 5mph range. After flash all normal driving is still fine but early indications seems to get low speed clunk little more now. Got it 3 times in several parking lots, same thing coasting or very light on gas around 5mph. May have upped my 1% bad to 2% lol. Will see if it improves any over week or 2 of driving.

The flash also resets the learning. So it's going to take a few hundred miles to learn you're driving style again. Same thing happend to me.

By the way I went for a ride in a new Chrysler 300 hemi awd with the old 5spd and it was really smooth ( the trans). I couldn't believe it.

The 5 Speed in my Durango is "smooth" but the 8 Speed in the JGC I was driving is way better "IMHO" I will take snappy and efficent over a little smoothness.

A few more days under my belt with the flash and no more low speed clunks after first day. Been in parking lots and little stop and go traffic and all good. Seems to be holding 1st gear little longer on acceleration to 10-15 mph and holding 2nd gear on deceleration down to 1 or 2 mph. Not sure if its my imagination but seems bit more peppy shifting overall. Will keep an eye on things for next week or so but fingers crossed.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I'm trying to decide whether to have the update done or not. The clunky shifting has been bearable so far. It only happens when in stop/go traffic and then still only occasionally. Mainly when I suddenly let off the throttle.

My big issue is with the ECO mode. I like the idea behind it, shift up as early as possible and improve fuel consumption, but the way it is, ECO mode is just frustrating and I end up switching it off as soon as I start the car. I did notice that the transmission is self learning as the ECO setting has become more bearable over time but it is still the one thing why I am considering having the upgrade done. Even though it feels better now, it still is annoying. Once moving its ok, but driving away from a stop (something you do a lot in city driving...) throttle response is still way to slow and the trans just shifts up way to quick.

Long story short, question for the "updated" should I be happy with what I have or should I have the update done so ECO mode becomes acceptable? Thanks...

Seems to be an updated Service Bulletin now (http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_2100713a.pdf).

At this point, it can't hurt to have it done. It was worth it for me.
