Interesting. This one seems to indicate additional "improvements in shift quality" and includes and update for the transfer case control module.

It also states NOT to clear the trans memory as this will cause harsh shifts until "relearning" is complete.

I also noticed that it is not just a TSB, but an RRT which I think means that dealers are supposed to apply it regardless of if you are complaining about the shift quality.

Now this one sounds like the one to go in for (after some peoples' comments I was hoping / thinking they might release another one soon after like they did with the 2011-2012) although I think I'll still wait a bit to see what everyone thinks of it after having it applied.

This new one might deserve its own thread actually.

This seems to be much more of what I'm looking for then the last update. Looking forward to getting this update installed.

Yep, this last one looks like the one I need to get as well. Addresses exactly the "annoyances" I am experiencing.

Our Overland was built 9/9 and 9/10. Will it have the update in the 9/11 TSB?

Even if it doesn't the dealer should do it before you take delivery.

I already have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow. I had the other update done as soon as it came out also, hopefully this one does the trick.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I have some issues with shifting especially when braking I get a surge/thunk about the time I roll to a stop. I am hoping this new update may fix the issue but is this something I should get checkd out sooner than later because of the possibility of damage happening?

I'm not sure if it would damage anything. But do the update hopefully it's better.
