This is what the "computer numbers" are showing you in EVIC? or did you actually do you MPG math by the old method?

EVIC numbers in my opinion are all useless, PSI on your tires, MPG, Temp. I no longer trust the info.

With the EVIC going black here and there, Radio issues, random warning lights, transmission problems, misaligned tail door, scratches on the paint and wheels, incorrect outside temp reading, buying the 2014 GC was a big mistake on my part, but i have to live with it. Cant sell it for i would lose money or else I would and go Japanese.

I'm wondering that, too. It's not clear to me why an automatic transmission has to "adapt."

For what it's worth, we've only had ours--a September 9-10 build--for five days and never taken it out of Eco mode, and it shifts smoothly with no clunks or hesitations or seeking. I'm hoping it doesn't bother to "adapt."

Yes the first few weeks were awesome, but then...

Just re-enforces what Chrysler's quality control crew know about their job. I m sure it is the same scenario for the rest of Chrysler's other departments.

And I guess I am the only one having issues, and the only one concerned about paying 40k for bug ridden vehicle.

I don't have much issue with EVIC numbers. It's never gone blank.

Tire pressure is close. But you have to be aware how TPMS works.

EVIC MPG might not be perfect but comparing one mode to another it's pretty close.

I don't trust the "Old Fashion way" either because pumps vary a lot when they go off. Temperature can effect how much gas goes in etc. You'd have to do several tanks and get an average. I tend to trust the computer numbers more. But more data is always more accurate. There are lots of variables that effect MPG. Tons.

Only issue I have is too much lag in ECO mode. Which causes you to, to stomp on gas pedal. And then things go bad.

I think it helped a tremendous amount getting one built past the Mid Model Year.

Is Uconnect perfect? no. But it's pretty damn good.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

My JGC Limited V6 has a build date of 8/08/13. I bought it on 10/2. Is it safe to assume the RRT update has been done?

The tranny feels fine to me for the most part. I do notice it sometimes seems to love shifting early at a low speed, so it feels like the car is crawling for a bit.

Once in a while, when it's either in 1st or 2nd, and i'm trying to coast, it has that jerking motion like you're going to kill the engine with a stick.

But other than that, I'm pretty happy with the car itself. But I only have 150 miles on it.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Mine was built on 08-10 and I contacted Jeep with VIN and they said yes it applies.

I had it done.

Didn't help much.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I had the last two transmission updates done, and can confirm that while the last update fixed my eco-mode issues for a while, the car is almost back to the way it was prior to the flashes. Upshifting too many gears too soon, not downshifting fast enough causing lag, and downshifting way too low when pressing slightly harder which causes the car to WOOOOSHHH. WTF Jeep.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I've been experimenting a bit.

I decided to drive it "Aggressively" for a week to see how it would re-adapt. Surprisingly the MPG didn't go down all that much.

You know what, it drives almost as good as Eco-Mode off now when Eco-Mode is on.

But if you drive normally, i.e. not waste gas and take it easy. It readapts to granny mode and when you ask it to move, it then misbehaves.

It has a dumb adaptation algorithm. Which is why it runs ok for a week after each TSB update.
