And you need to drive it "Normally" for at least a week before you know if it's really fixed.

That's the part that annoys me, they won't acknowledge it is happening, I've had to wait for it to get worse! Could my diesel have the wrong programming or the wrong tranny? It is funny that the issue is exactly the same as those on here. I have also read of another CRD having the same issue in the export thread.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Wow another update? LOL. I mean, it's good that they are trying I guess.

I'll rather they iron out this on their own test vehicles than us be the guinea pigs.

I only have 175 miles on my Limited. Mine was built on 8/08, so I should get these updates, but haven't felt a need. It feels fine to me.

If you don't have any issues with your tranny then don't do it. Your thought should be " why fix what ain't broke" for your vehicle.

To Snofire's comment if you do take your vehicle to a dealer and you don't want it done make sure that it is marked on your work order because it is an RRT and they will do it sometimes without asking.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

If I have had the previous 2 updates done (one a TSB, the other TSB/RRT) will the dealership know to do this update the next time I bring it it. To put it another way, since I already had the RRT done a few weeks ago, will the system know the the RRT was updated and tell them to install it again? The reason I ask is I have had to jump through hoops with my dealership to get TSB's done. I bring them the paperwork and explain the symptoms but if their techs don't recreate, they don't do the TSB. That and it ends up being two trips to the dealership for TSBs. Once to make the service appointment when I tell them what to fix so they can check it out and almost always a second one for their tech to install the updates (doesn't matter if I tell them what needs to be done before the first appointment or not)

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Should this update be ready at the dealers as of now? Do they get it as soon as the TSB/RRT comes out?

If I remember correctly, Chrysler does not delivery this software to dealers. A dealer's computer is trying to connect Chrysler's server in real-time, so dealers are ready to update when Chrysler uploaded the software into their server. The only exception happens when dealer's internet connection is out... they cannot do update... This is what I am understanding.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I got it two days ago once I got my plates. They also did radio and ATC. I say iy hangs in eco first to second second to third. I only notice it when going straight. when turning from a stop I dont notice it. Its more then what was before and I think it does it more until the trans warms up.

I don't quite understand but he gave me the impression that this new TSB is a "Service Notice", meaning it's a notice to tell the techs that they should apply the September update (13-066). I think.

I can't download that document from wk2jeep to save my sole. Been trying for days. Slowest site on the web. 300 baud modem is faster.

EDIT: Looking a little closer TSB 2100713 was the August Transmission Update. I think 2100713b is an addendum to 2100713 that 13-066 supersedes it. Hence the TSB is not a new TSB they just appended a "b" to the old one to notify techs that they are not done if they only applied the August update.
