I don't quite understand but he gave me the impression that this new TSB is a "Service Notice", meaning it's a notice to tell the techs that they should apply the September update (13-066). I think.

I can't download that document from wk2jeep to save my sole. Been trying for days. Slowest site on the web. 300 baud modem is faster.

EDIT: Looking a little closer TSB 2100713 was the August Transmission Update. I think 2100713b is an addendum to 2100713 that 13-066 supersedes it. Hence the TSB is not a new TSB they just appended a "b" to the old one to notify techs that they are not done if they only applied the August update.
I will report the site access problems but I think it is regional... I have never had an issue with this.

Thanks, you are right. Tried from home and work with no luck, but they are both on Verizon FIOS.

I tried my Sprint Phone and got the document instantly.

Now on to the documents.

All the transmission TSB's are the same # TSB 2100713.

First one in August had no Rev.
Second in Sept was Rev A.
Third in Oct was Rev B.

Rev A was also released as a "Rapid Response 13-066"

It appears Rev B is just a refinement of Rev A.

Specifically how to handle systems with and without DTCM (I believe DTCM is the Select Train option). The Rev A assumed all vehicles had a DTCM and they don't.

As to if all vehicles with and with out DTCM were correctly updated is hard to know. A good tech may have just known what to do accordingly to each. Rev B I think it just clarity.

By the way I started a thread suspecting Larado's might not have as many issues with this problem. And it's interesting part of these patches does include updates to the DTCM ("Select Terrain Module").

Also note all the TSB's explicitly say NOT to clear adaptive memory.

Spoke to the big guy. PDFs in internet explorer 10 with certain versions of Adobe just don't work well.

Blame Microsoft in other words.

I use IE9 due to compatibility issues myself.

Dealer updated my jeep this morning. Starting off is better.....however slowing down in sport mode really puts a # on your transmission. I could hear and feel the car wanting to stop with high rpm's. I wasn't using paddleshifter.
I am sure we will get at least 6 more updates in the next 6 months. Wish I didn't already buy the lifetime warranty..... This car would be gone

Not sure if I completely agree with your analysis. The latest TSB does say to check if the TCM has the latest programming. This implies that it should if the last update was done correctly. However, as far as the DTCM it says to flash it with the update with no reference to checking if it is already up to date.

I have an appt set for Monday. I had gotten both TSBs when they were released. About a month after the 2nd update, to me, it felt like the truck regressed back to day 1 of ownership. I performed the battery disconnect tip and it did help a little. I'm looking fwd to seeing what this update will do. Each day is diff with the tranny. Love the truck tho

The TSB is written in such a way that it makes sense when you are looking at the module update screen (WiTech). As in it is not necessary to verify if a module is "up to date" it is known when you are looking at that screen.

So..Do you think that this is a new update...meaning that if you got the first two this offers something additional?

I know that the second revision was actually a slight change in the programming I'm not sure about this one but I will verify.

Well I had the second TSB done and I m right back to the bad behavior, I also notice that at times even though I am in ECO and on the highway at speeds over 65 , it will not shift to 8th unless I force it with the paddle. Going to leave this alone until they fix it correctly, if ever.

Mine never has or had that issue.

It will always go into 8th eco or non eco when cruising at that speed.

This not shifting into 8th is very weird. I have not seen that on anything? That sounds like there is something else going on.

I would say that most people thought it up shifted too quickly in most cases but you are the first one to say it won't go into 8th? Have you brought this to the dealer's attention?
