Shouldn't be that hard. Milous has the full TSB posted, just take it with you. It is not like Chrysler is asking anyone to prove they have an issue, it specifically says load the update in the case of customer concern.

Also like anything else software, even people who have worse or different shift issues, get the tranny update first, then go from there if there are further concerns.

Ok, I know for sure to avoid Sno's dealer now, which should be easy as it's a 2 hr drive away...

After poking around the rest of the site (I've been told there are other things outside the WK2 section ), kinda surprised there are not some regional or local sub-forums for people to share dealer recommendations, etc. Am I missing it?

I brought it up a couple of times, I would really like to see a section strictly talking about the good and bad dealers with stories to back it up.

I would start it myself, but I have a conflict directly promoting dealers.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I printed a copy of the TSB and brought it with me to my dealer today. They reflashed the TCM per the TSB, and the difference in my MY14 WK2 is REMARKABLE!!!

The shift points are all smooth now (even in ECO mode), with no sluggishness while accelerating...and no hard transitions between gears during downshift.

It feels like a completely new truck now....and I am finally 100% satisfied with my Jeep!!

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I‘ve been reading the TSB threads for the past few days - There are an overwhelming number of dealers that think customers are not elidgible based on using their available tools. I can't bring myself to believe that the vast majority of Chrysler dealers are inept - there must be something else going on. As users like Jacko pointed out, these things take time to filter through the system and it could very well have been a bug from the corporate side that caused this stuff to happen.

On the plus side, everyone who has received the flash so far has has most of their issues resolved, so i look forward to getting it!

You'd be surprised...for every "good" dealership out there, there are 10 inept ones.

The problem with the dealers who are saying they aren't eligible based on available tools is that they are failing to query the Chrysler DealerConnect system for the software update for their WiTech diagnostic tools. If they think they cannot perform the TCM reflash, it's because they're not actually reading the TSB and/or updating their WiTech's on a regular basis.

That is the dealer's responsibility, as Chrysler sends STAR Center Newsletter notifications and dealer emails to them when updates are available for their diagnostic tools.

The point i'm trying to make though is that nobody knows yet. If nobody on the forums works for a dealer and is gulity of not updating their witech tool, how can we assume they are all out of date?

I work for Dealers!

I can tell you that this is a failure at the dealer end, all Dealers have access to the 14.01 WiTech software.

There is no excuse for a dealer to not be able to perform a TSB other than WiTech being down.

It is one system for all programming, if they are able to program any vehicle they have access to this update (unless they did not follow instructions to update their WiTech the week of the 20th of July but that takes no time at all).
