I just hope they understand the wear that has been put on the tranny and when something goes they give you the line.... You must have been rough with your jeep it is not our responsibility to replace the transmission
I think we are nearing the point of the vehicle's display unit coming up with a prompt that says you have updates available. Hit OK, downloads the updates over the air and reboots the vehicle.

I am tentatively scheduled to go back to the dealership (seventh time) after Xmas for unrelated. I've had two transmission updates. Shifting has improved but still clunky at times. Guess I'll be a guinea pig and see if they will load this one.

Ive gotten the second update. Still waiting for my new rear latch handle to come in to do that, phone reg'd service, and recall at same time. This update will most likely be done along with new radio update. I haven't even gotten to my first oil change yet 2586 miles on mine.

I will definitely ask for this when I schedule my first oil change. The last update made shifting much better but still at times when coming to a stop there is a lurch.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Had my first service yesterday for my '14 4x4 Overland (MDH 080103). They applied the N55 recall for Adaptive Cruise, but interestingly said that neither the N58 Christmas Tree Dash/Ground issue recall nor this transmission update applied, even though the build date suggests it does. I only had the printout for Rev. B of this transmission update with me, but he said he didn't see either update (B or C). Oh well, maybe next time?

You should have received a notice for the N58 recall in the mail. You may want to check at the bottom of this page (Recall Search) https://www.moparownerconnect.com/oc...nersLogin.aspx using your VIN.

Thanks. I guess my question is: is it typical for them to not include all of the Jeeps as described in the TSB (the N58 recall says it is for vehicles built through MDH 082003 and the latest Rev. C of the transmission flash is for all vehicles through MDH 1112XX)? The TSB makes it sound like the only rule is the build date, which suggest my Jeep (080103) would need both. Does anyone know if there are other criteria for these beside build date (and, for the transmission flash, engine size/transmission model)?

I had my '14 V6 Limited in today and had the 21-007-13 REV. C, transmission flash TSB in hand and the service advisor told me it didn't show up for my VIN and further said I already had it applied. I told him that this was the new Rev C but he only knew what show'd in his system. He asked what the symptoms were and I told him exactly what was described in the TSB. Good news is they applied this update for the TCM and the tranny is almost perfect now at least for the 15 minute drive home on low speed surface streets with lot's of stops and takeoffs. Buttery smooth, no clunking up/down shifts, and seems like no more sluggish acceleration at 35-40 MPH with ECO mode on.
I also had them install the N58 flash for the Recall.
I wanted them to do the Antenna replacement for TSB 08-089-13, as I have horrible XMSirius reception in the mountains and low signal areas, but they wouldn't do and said the reception was fine. Of course it was in the city by the dealership. I didn't have the TSB in hand to review it with them so I'll have to bring it back in again and probably escalate it to a manager.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Had my Tow Bar installed y'day, they also did the re-flash as part of the 1st 1500KM service.
Haven't noticed the shift in gears....yet.
One thing I did notice was the stereo bass has gone down in volume(thank Goodness)
And I can now comfortable turn my music up without the bass distorting!

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Dealer actually flashed the transmission TSB this time and replaced the satellite antenna.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I got the update (first time I had the tranny updated) in October and it definitely improved things. I had it in for the recall today, also asked for the rev. c update that just came out but allegedly they couldn't update it because the system told them it was already applied in October and there were no updates available.
