Had the update done yesterday on my LTD with a build date of 9/9. This latest update(rev c) was the only one that was applicable to my vehicle.

Even before the update, I never really had a major issue with the way the jeep shifted. Was it perfect? No. Was it noticeable? Yes. Was there reason to complain? Probably not.

Post the update, based on about 50 miles of mixed driving, I can say that I see a noticeable improvement in the up and down shifts between 1-2-3. Pretty close to being perfect.

For anyone around my build date, who has noticed minor, occasional transmission "jerks/clunks", my advise would be to get this update done. You'll be happier.

The service advisor told me the same thing, which I knew wasn't right, but that's what their system was telling him when he checked my VIN. I still asked them to look at it and described the symptoms and luckily that technician was able to get the update installed. The tranny is much, much smoother and the throttle mapping is noticeably improved in ECO mode.

Anyone experienced any change in fuel efficiency (good or bad) after the transmission shift update?

Been tracking MPG religiously with an app whole time I've had my JGC and after having one of the TSBs done in early September I have lost 2-3 MPG Was pulling 21 or 22 all the time before TSB and now struggle to get to 20 mpg

The good news is haven't had any kind of trans clunk once I got a thousand miles on it after the TSB.

I'm due for another oil change soon and I remember some kind of RRT thing or other updates that came after the early TSB so hoping to ask for that update this time around. Sorry haven't been on the forum since the fall so trying to catch up. I'll check JeepWk2 site for latest list.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I'm going today, my service tech told me that this flash was going to need to be done the last time I got my oil changed and I wish they would've just done it then. My shifting is an absolute mess. When I pull off from a stop 1-2 is usually around 3500RPM, 2-3-4-5-6 is pretty smooth then regardless of how warm the engine/transmission is 6 jolts up to 7 and 7 jolts up to 8. My salesman must've told me 5 times how non-existant the shift shock was...the first time I felt it I had to resist driving right back to the dealer then! Has anyone who's had this update done noticed that it fixes issues you were having with the transmission? Has anyone has trans issues like the ones I mentioned?

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Got mine done today, revision C was applicable to my Jeep which I took delivery on this past April. The flash I had done 4 weeks ago (Sept.TSB release) had improved the shifting somewhat in ECO mode, but the one done today seems to be the "cure" as long as it stays this way. Upshifting is pretty much flawless and "correct", at least in my mind. Will keep fingers crossed! Dave

Had the dealer flash the system for revision c and for them to replace satellite antenna this past Friday. So far I have seen a huge improvement in both shifting up and down. It is almost seamless. Antenna....so far so good.

How long did it take to replace an antenna? Did it require to remove interior trim (roof) or just work from out side? Any noticeable improvement on reception?

I think the antenna was 3 hours and it did involve inside and outside work. New fin and wiring. I have noticed that the radio is not muting and then coming back, also my calls when using Bluetooth aren't bumped off the radio back to the phone and then 3 minutes later I am talking through the radio again. So far so good.

But mine doesn't and the only update I've had is the Rev-A one.

I believe the owner connect site only lists recalls. This is just a TSB.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

RPower said it is "seamless" and that describes it best! Was out again today for about 20 miles of stop and go, back roads and 4 lane @ 60mph, rainy miserable day and the transmission WAS seamless. What a pleasureable "fix"! Dave
