Same for me. Twice, for about 5 min each in the last week mine went back to its old clunky self. Then came back. Odd. It's like it forgot its new programming.

I think it's time to test drive a manual wrangler. This way if their is a bad shift I have no one to blame but my self lol. Seriously though, my 2003 jetta turbo automatic and my 2002 Audi automatic and my wife's 2005 Toyota sienna I never really even paid attention to those transmissions. My 2011 GC and 2014 are bordering on the unbearable.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

I notice when the vehicle is cold (first thing in the morning or after sitting in the parking lot while at work), it feels like it is between 1st and 2nd gear for a second while the engine keeps spinning higher. This causes a slight jerk and brief stint of acceleration...almost like popping the clutch in a manual. Once the tranny warms up, I never notice it again until it cools down completely. It also only happens from 1st to 2nd on the upshift. Odd, but still 100x's better than before.

Haha, soon that shift will become like whiplast from 2nd to 3rd in the morning...how many miles do you have on it so far?

Not every transmission is doing the exact same thing.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Overall I have about 6400 miles on the truck. Since the update I probably put around 150 on it. Maybe....hopefully, it will mellow out with miles.

Why the hell can't they get the 2-1,1-2 shift right?. Downshifts from 5432 are definitely smoother after the flash but as your coming to a stop you feel a thump going into 1st. Why can't they get rid of that. Don't they do any real world test driving in Michigan?.

Re: FLASH: TRANSMISSION SHIFT ENHANCEMENTS (vehicles with 3.6L engine)

Had the flash done today, Drove fine back to the office. This afternoon when it was cold it lunges so bad down shifting coming to a stop it's almost dangerous. I can't deal with this for now I'm going to wait until next week to take it back in. Drives almost smooth as silk when the engine is warmed up.

Good news flash worked. Love the way it handles and I got my Jeep Grand Cherokee key chain from Jeep Corp. In the mail today.

Getting mine done now. They said if they plug it in and the update doesn't show up they will charge me $40. They apparently don't like it when you bring in a TSB because it may not apply to my specific vehicle. Even though I explained my vehicle satisfies the three requirements. Hopefully it shows up so I don't have to go ballistic. The alternative was to have the tech drive my car around and verify my complaint. But since it doesn't always do the rough shifts that could have been pointless.
