Interesting. What is the TSB#? I looked and did not see anything related to this for the 2014 models?

LOL... that's the problem, none of the listed HVAC TSB's specifically state this.

I checked my RO to see if they had it listed. Nope. All it stated was, "Found flash for software update. Corrected by flash update for HVAC."

This flash update refers to the automatic temperature control (ATC) module. That would be the closest I can get you to it.

Edited to add...

If you describe the problem to your service department they should be able to determine what flash is available by your VIN.

How long ago did you get yours fixed? I complained last Winter and they told me mine was the same as the other ones on the lot.

Re: Floor Heat Not Completely Directed to Floor / Cold Feet

I had the HVAC flash done on 9-11-14. This was done primarily due to my complaint of inadequate airflow out of the dash vents when using AC in auto. But it seemed to take care of both problems.

I never had a problem with mine last winter. The problem started late spring - early summer of this year.

I also had a BCM flash done at the same time.

Sounds like a warranty issue to me.

Take it in

If you put your hand under the seat, you will feel a distinct temp difference between the pedal area and under the seat. I haven't looked to see if there is a vent under there yet but I think cold air is radiating out of the large opening in the floor that has a thin cover on it. I though about either insulating that area or hanging some sort of fabric off the front of the seat to keep the cold air out of the pedal area. I'll mess with it this weekend.
Did you ever try insulating the under seat compartment as you mentioned?

Re: Floor Heat Not Completely Directed to Floor / Cold Feet

Never got to it. My weekends are my only free time and life seems to keep getting in the way plus it hasn't been too cold here so it doesn't bother me that much right now. One thing that keeps pissing me off though is the MIL keeps going on for a few days then go off then back on. Been to the dealer 4 times for this. I'm looking for a new ride for the better half which has been taking up my weekends.

Sorry to hear about the MIL issue you are having. I am taking my GC into the dealer in a few weeks for some recall work and am going to have them look into the floor heat issue along with the lack of heat coming from my heated seats. I'll post back if anything significant comes from the visit.

It is getting cold here in Illinois and this is the first time I have seriously used the heat in the Jeep. I tried directing the heat completely to the floor as my feet were not getting warm. It seems as though I am not getting a lot of heat coming through the lower vents. Is anyone else experiencing this problem, or can someone test in their 2014 Grand Cherokee? I have the Summit model if that matters. Thanks everyone.

I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee in the shop for the same issue. After replacing the control head and actuators no change. Yesterday and today they have removed the entire dash to replace the dash harness. They claim that it is now working. They are driving it overnight to verify.

Same issue here. I was just messin' with this tonight. I think it's just one of the little idiosyncrasies of our beloved GC.

Just got a call from the dealership. The dash wiring harness fixed the problem. They have 3 more lined up for repair.

Holy crap Batman, can you find out where and which harness it is. I'd like to get this fixed. My cold feet would appreciate it.
